Lady Kate Vintage Blog te invita a homenajear y fomentar el uso de prendas antiguas, que si bien fueron realizadas en el pasado, son parte del  presente ya  que  traen consigo una cierta magia.

Podrá ser por su confección, capaz por el estilo que te identifica  o  el estampado  que siempre te gustó. Lo que  logrará sin dudas, es el aporte de un toque original y único a tus  looks de HOY .

Mi pasión por  las prendas del pasado se remite a cuando  era una teen y visitaba las tiendas de San Telmo con admiración .

Aún guardo una foto donde llevaba una blusa con jabot de encaje , de principio de siglo, que compré en Antiguedades Gil, y que perduro en mi placard por años .

Luego y cuando viví en Los Angeles en los 90  (y probaba suerte como actriz) me tenté usando  ropa de los 70´s  con sus pantalones  pata de elefante  y  vestidos halter en jersey.

Muchos años mas tarde y durante mi paso por  Londres  visitaba los sábados la tiendas de Portobello y soñaba  con armar mis looks con la genialidad con la que lo hace Kate Moss. 

Hoy, cuando me visto y me siento cómoda, personal y feliz es cuando estoy llevando alguna prenda "vintage".  

Las invito a disfrutar de esta pasión abriendo los baúles de las abuelas! Y siguiéndonos en este espacio para las amantes del buen vestir y del estilo personal.

This is definitively an adventure. Each piece brings within itself a certain "magic” through quality fabrics, innovative techniques and original silhouettes. Highlighting the exquisite workmanship that are still a testimony to enduring and influential styles.

 Thus developing an original and unique touch to modern outfits.

My passion for vintage started when I was a teenager. At that time I visited San Telmo neighbourhood shops  in my native  Buenos Aires in  search of interesting pieces. I still keep a picture where I'm wearing a vintage blouse with  lace jabot , which I had bought in  Gil Antiques, my favorite boutique.

During the nineties I lived and pursued my acting in Los Angeles, USA. There, I used to buy  at vintage stores on Melrose Avenue. Many pieces were from the seventies, such as  bell bottom pants or jersey halter dresses which I intermixed with contemporary ones, for my  auditions.

Many years later, during my days in London, I adored visiting Portobello Market on Saturdays and dreamed of assembling my outfits always having Kate Moss as inspiration.

Today  I feel  happy to wear vintage for any occasion and enjoy browsing some of the most exciting  stores at Buenos Aires, London or  New York.

Therefore, I challenge you to enjoy this passion, by opening your  grandmothers trunks and selecting the decade that suits you best.

And most of all, have fun trying it!!

Because Vintage is Now.
